Welcome to Questmaster! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Questmaster application and services ("Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Questmaster, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Questmaster is an AI-powered assistant designed to help Game Masters and Dungeon Masters create and manage tabletop role-playing game campaigns. Our Service includes:

AI-generated content for campaigns, NPCs, encounters, and storylines
Campaign management and organization tools
Character and location tracking features
Session planning and note-taking capabilities

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Promptly notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent's or guardian's permission to use the Service.

4. User Content and Ownership

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any original content you create and input into Questmaster ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your User Content as necessary to provide the Service.

4.2 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI systems in response to your inputs is provided for your personal use in your tabletop gaming sessions. You may use AI-generated content in your campaigns, but you acknowledge that:

Similar content may be generated for other users
AI-generated content may not be wholly original or unique
You should review AI-generated content before use

4.3 Third-Party Content

Questmaster is designed for use with various tabletop RPG systems. Users are responsible for ensuring their use complies with applicable game system licenses and intellectual property rights.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

Generate content that violates our Content Moderation Policy
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Attempt to circumvent AI safety measures or content filters
Use the Service for any illegal purpose
Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Distribute malware or engage in hacking activities
Scrape, copy, or redistribute Service content without permission
Resell or commercially exploit the Service without authorization

Warning: Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.

6. AI Limitations and Disclaimers

Important: Questmaster uses artificial intelligence to generate content. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, inappropriate, or inconsistent. Always review generated content before using it in your games.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be:

Completely accurate or factually correct
Free from bias or inappropriate material
Suitable for all audiences without review
Original or non-infringing

7. Subscription and Payment

Certain features may require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to:

Pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase
Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the renewal date
Our refund policy as stated at the time of purchase

We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice to subscribers.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.

Upon termination:

Your right to use the Service will cease immediately
You may request export of your User Content before termination
We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUESTMASTER AND ITS AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Questmaster, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
